glove compartment liner
I have just got a new liner for the glove compartment ( the car never had one when I got it).
There are some clips the screws go through to srcew it to the dash that push into the liner. Can anyone tell me if these clips fit on the inside or the outside of the liner. Problem is these things don't come with instructions as to which way is correct. thanks GB

Re: glove compartment liner
Not sure about this, but if there is a lip on the dash for the liner to attach to,see if the clips will slip over the dash lip, over the holes. The threaded side of the clip should be on the outer side of the lip,so that the screws can be started inside the liner. If threaded side of clip is positioned towards inner side of lip,it will just pull the clip apart, instead of snugging up to lip.

Graeme.......
It's hard to explain, but Al's explaining it pretty good. The clips slide over metal edge with thread side down like he said. The screws then snug it up pretty tight. |

Re: glove compartment liner
Actually those clips slip over the liner. The "thread" side to the outer skin of the liner.

Re: glove compartment liner
Kube the clips are one sided unit that are bent over at the ends with little saw like teeth that push through the liner to hold the hold the clip in place. Does it go from the inside or outside?

Re: glove compartment liner
I assumed that the liner would be positioned INSIDE the dash lip, which would need the clips installed on the lip. With the liner positioned OUTSIDE the lip,the clips would need to be on the liner,as Kube suggested.
