Default light switch position

Is my light switch in the correct position? I was told the wires should come out the bottom.Mine seems to be out the top? What do i have to do to fix this? Thanks again

Your pic is correct. You will see a small oil drain hole at the bottom of the switch to confirm this. See pic.
