Default Nut size on the generator pulley

Trying to loosen the nut on the generator pulley to drop the belt. It is really hard to get to that nut under the generator. Does anyone know what is the nut size ?

Should be 3/4 inch. At least that what mine is.

Sorry I got that all wrong.

Guess that Covid 19 shot has my mind cloudy today.

1. Nut is 3/4. I use closed end hand wrench on front bolt head.

2. With deep socket and 8 inch extension, with ratchet on the nut in the rear.

Am I seeing thinks in this picture, or is there a jam nut on the end of that threaded shaft, with no bolt head visible on the front of the bracket?

I think the bolt head is hidden by the mounting "ear" or whatever it's called of the generator. But you're right that something weird is going on at the left side, like there are multiple nuts on it.

most likely the available bolt was too long ,so a larger nut was slipped over to act as a spacer
