Default Original Vicky interior

My 31 Victoria project came with these in a bag. All original interior panels showing all holes for screws, clips, snaps, etc. All windlace cut to size. This will be a great help to install my Lebaron Bonney kit.

What month was your Victoria built?
Soft top or steel top?
Flat firewall or indented?
I assume that the piece on the right in the middle picture is your rear carpet.
The parts look exactly like the interior of my Vicky.
Do you have any part of the front carpet?

Bill, My VIN is 4411908 and Murray body tag 190A 28359. it is a Steelback, Flat firewall. I believe the engine to have been built on March 4, 1931 and an assembly date on 3/27 as compared to others in the Victoria Association data. It seems that was unsure so if you know better or more please let me know. I do not have the front carpet and the piece on the right is the rear carpet.

Thanks for sharing. Some original slant window sedans have no top edge fabric on the carpet door bottom strips, only trim on 2 sides and the bottom. The carpet abutted the upholstery fabric above it. Must be factory variations.

Looking thru the Victoria Association Bustle there is a service bulletin about changes in interior parts then in another bustle it says some changes were cancelled. I don't think with all the assembly plants and all the built bodies and all the suppiers that it was an exact science.

Your interior is like my Vicky's. My serial number is A4362440. The engine was made on 2/17/1931. It also has a flat firewall. The Murray body number 190A 28618. My body number is higher than yours, but the body had to be shipped across country before being mounted on a frame. I believe that my Vicky was assembled in late April or early May due to other parts on the car and that is with in the 3 month window after the engine was built.
Both of our interiors have a door pocket on the passenger door only. I think that we have the 1st generation interior for the steel back Vicky. This interior configuration was probably used until the introduction of the sliding drivers seat.
Let me know if you need any pictures during your interior install.
Also, I have pictures of my front carpet and about 4 years ago had LB make me a copy based on the pictures and measurements.

Hello Art,

I am the keeper of the Victoria Associations record of surviving 190As. Your Victoria is not listed, but would like put into the record.

Have you joined the International Victoria Association?

Bob, I have been a member of the Victoria Association for a couple of years and sent all my vehicle info with my application and dues. I think my name and email info also has not been in the last couple listings in the Bustle. Yes, I would like you to put it in the record. Thanks for offering. Art

The Victoria Association publication "The Bustle" helped me quite a bit, especially Bob's article about the door window channel and glass installation. I highly recommend Joining the Victoria association and purchasing the entire set of The Bustles that are available. Art

Hi Art, Hi Bill,
In the record of surviving 190A's, I believe that Art's 190A 28359 (Line 208) is the oldest Steel-Back. There is one other earlier Steel-Back in the list (Line 207), but I do not think that the data provided by the owner is accurate.

Art! To fill-in missing info in the record, please let me know if originally your 190A has:
1. Rear carpet in your 190A in one piece or multiple pieces;
2. What is the original spare wheel location on your car;
3. Do the front seats adjust using brackets & rods or a ratchet mechanism? If brackets, does the driver's seat brackets have 3 holes? How many holes in the passenger's seat brackets;
4. Is there seaming lace between the interior side upholstery panels and the headliner;
5. Are sun visors at the driver's and or passenger's position;
6. Does your car have window shades on its quarter windows;
7. Does your engine number match the frame number;
8. Is there there upholstery cloth covering the opening between the seat backs and the seat bottoms?

My email is [email protected]

Bob, I have thought my Victoria to be a late March 1931 Atlanta built car. It has a flat firewall. The rear carpet was one piece except for the narrow strip under the rear seat. It has a rear spare. The seat brackets are the rod type with 3 adjusting holes for the driver and only one hole for the passenger. There is not a seaming lace between the headliner and side panels. The original driver door panel did not have a pocket. It has both a driver and passenger sunvisor. There were tattered remains of three shades and holes in the wood for quarter shades. The engine and frame numbers match. It has the early style front seats with the cloth flap between the back and bottom. I would like to have an updated Victoria roster if there is one available. Art
