Re: 6,000 Original Mile \'36 Club Cabriolet
My 41k original miles Fordor flatback sedan looked many times better than that '36 when I got it in 2007. After seven years and 22k more miles it still looks better, IMHO. Not bragging...just saying. That '36 has had a tough time somewhere in those 6k miles.

We jumped it and it started right up. Kong and Ed tweaked it a bit and Ed offered it to Kong for a sweet deal. Kong used to sweep floors for Winfield when he as a little kid. Winfield liked Kong a lot and that is why the price was so low. Why do you think Kong was so smart? That 40 ran like a top. Here is from left to right Kong, Winfield and myself checking out my B engine with Cook four port. Two Winfield carbs on the left side It was neat getting advice from Winfield. I wonder what ever happened to that Kong prototype ignition. Notice the four cylinder GM cap Tim |

Re: 6,000 Original Mile \'36 Club Cabriolet
Here you go
Doug Boyd was on that trip and he had one of those really big giant cameras. Winfield got out his photo album and he took some pics of the pics. Here is one of Ed Winfield with his Model T powered race car. Notice to cool intake manifold for the updraft Winfield Carb. He did it that way cus he wanted a specific length from carb to intake valve. Ed did not like having two intake ports on the T with 1-2-4-3 timing. He fixed that by building a crank that was two up then two down. Now his timing was 1-3-2-4 so that the intake was 180 deg apart. I am sure he had a few other speed secrets. Tim |

Re: 6,000 Original Mile \'36 Club Cabriolet
Ryan said,"I was tooling around the internet early this week and stumbled upon something you don’t see everyday. How about a ’36 Ford Club Cabriolet with 6000 original miles? It’s for sale too."....
1936 Ford Club Cabriolet (Unrestored) “Barn Find” Vintage condition, found with 5,852 original miles, never restored, a true diamond in the rough. Exterior: Green Engine size: 221 Ci, 3.6 L Engine type: V-8 Horsepower: N/A Torque: N/A Mileage: 5,852 $$Call For Pricing $$ (417)239-1644 This just solidify's the old adage,,if you have to ask the price you can't afford it! It is a beauty. HRP

Low miles and poorly fitting sheet metal means probably been wrecked and sat many years until someone found it and got it back togather.
