Default Cut Off Switch?

This item is mounted on my truck firewall between the battery and the starter. On the inside there is a slotted fitting.

I am wondering if it is a battery cut-off.

Thanks,

Thanks,

It looks like it would be a cut-off switch - look inside the car on the firewall to see if there is a switch. Test using your headlights or dash light.

Probably takes a CAT key. https://www.ebay.com/itm/CAT-Caterpi...sAAOSwinVZsyYr

If it's slotted use a screwdriver to see if it's a switch. May be a key slot though.

It is hard to tell but the red battery cable looks like it might be a 12 volt cable. If your car is 6 volt it should be replaced with a 6 volt cable.

It was converted to 12 volt at some time in the past.

Thanks to everyone.
