Rockfla, I was only there a short while, arrived Thursday evening and left for home shortly after noon on Friday. I came down to pick up some parts that someone had been holding for me for about 4 years. I checked out the cars and the swap meet and talked with a few people, but most everyone was busy judging or being judged. Sorry I missed you, I would like to have caught up on how things are in Jax.

Just to try to clarify, which post were you referring too?
If it was the house. That was on the road trip to Wills Johnson collection of awesome cars.
I will try to get some additional pictures and videos up in the next few days, after we get home.
All said it was a very worthwhile trip for me and the ragged old truck. It seemed to be well received at the show.
I have some jailbar pictures for GB also!
Regards,
Chris

The one about the big house and all of the Barracuda's. I would much prefer to go over your truck with a fine tooth comb than any of those over glorified Plymouth's. In my insignificant opinion, it's the "big buck" guys like this that have ruined the hobby for many, by pricing these cars out of the reach of ordinary people.

How many cars does one person need, anyway?

I, for one, was dang excited to see it and extremely happy you brought it. Not that I have been to many V8 meets (7 or so) but the first I ever remember seeing a BB!!! It was a highlight for sure my friend!!! And a great pleasure meeting and talking to you as well!!!

And a real pleasure when Michael Driskell and I took a couple of laps in it.

I have to say Chris the 6 laps (sorry I told you I’d take 1) I made around in your truck was a highlight for me. I couldn’t help but make David hop in it was fun and your truck was the hit of the meet for many. I genuinely hope everyone had a good time!

The 49 made it down and back. Little over 600 for fuel and almost 2300 miles. Toured some museums and Nashville. Hung out with my virginia friends for a few days and then it was wide open as i caught up with people I knew and t new ones. Lots of great stories to tell as always. Got to meet Ken for alabama too. I probably know someone from every state and province from going to these meets.
My car was registered but I left it of to the side to ensure the new guy gets a trophy. I was there and available if anyone had questions. Worked the inspection tent most of Wednesday and part of Thursday. That way you get to see the cars and meet the owners. Got to talk with the photographer too and if you were there you'll see the value in that as well as giblets. And I'm not explaining giblets here. DON'T ASK!
There is a video of Glenn and Michael dancing on Facebook somewhere. I had to get home early before I broke a few ribs from laughing too hard.
In the end Danny Driskel and his staff did a great job planning a vacation for us.
Oh yes, got to the Country music hall of fame as well as the Grand Ole Opry.
These meets have afforded me some of the best experiences of my life.

We went on a driving tour to this collection. That's why it's pertinent to the thread about the EFV8 Club meet in Franklin. Maybe you should attend a meet so you can enjoy the great company and cars?

Missed meeting you Seth, I saw you two times, both were inconvenient on my behalf to introduce myself. Once in deep conversation with someone AND the other I was in the middle of judging when you and the family walked by!!! Maybe next meet?

More than I have?

Nah, seriously, I have sold quite a few in the past years. Not as much road ahead of me as the road I'd already traveled. In my opinion, no sense leaving "too much" for my wife to deal with.

Thanks for the great photos of the BB! Fine photos of the 37s as well. Were there any woodie wagons or a sportsman?

Definitely. If you see me stop and we'll talk. I'm usually at the Eastern or Central National meets. Or find the hotel patio area, I'm parked out there in the evenings for refreshments.

Seth the evening refresments are always the funniest part of the meets especially when a particular bearded man from MD is there

I had a great time. Didn’t drive my 40 up there as planned because of an uncontrollable circumstance. . Got to meet some of the Ford Barn guys and see some great cars. Maybe next time.
