Default Bill Stipe shocks

Who sells the Bill Stipe shocks? If you have them, what is your opinion.

Bill Stipe is the only source now and I'm not sure he will be making them again. They are pricey, but they are the BEST shocks for a Model A.

I've had Stipe Shocks on my Town Sedan since January '15. No problems and look and work fantastic.

This thread got to wondering tho, If and/or when I need to add oil to my Stipe Shocks, what do I use? I didn't notice anything in the Stipe Box. (maybe I should be asking Bill this question)

Instruction sheet inside the box that I bought says:

Bill Stipe on his new shocks says:

1. "Full Synthetic Hydraulic oil 30 to 40 weight"

2. Also: " do not overfill best is about 1/16 inch below bottom of hole. Need air pocket to expand."

FWIW:

After receiving my (4) Stipe Shocks, may I add:

If one shops on Amazon.com, or a similar site, numbers of stars and written reviews helps at times to decide which product to purchase.

If one searches comments for Stipe Shocks issued and rated by "Model A" owners on any auto Forum, it becomes most obvious where to buy shocks.

Mr. Vince, on his Model A Ford Garage Website, also took valuable time to share and write a wonderful descriptive review of Stipe Shocks with attached photos.

I did ask and was told: "You can use full synthetic hydraulic oil 30 to 40 weight, as far as maintenance just check them every couple of years."

I am very pleased with the shocks. Bill
