Default Eddie Meyer Intake, No Fan Mount

I am looking to use the 2x2 Eddie Meyer low profile intake on a 1952 EAB. This intake does not have any provisions for the generator or fan. Is there a work around for this issue?

At one time there was a bolt on bracket available that mounts on top of the intake at the front using the first two bolt holes on each side. This bracket has a stud in the center for mounting the fan and generator bracket. The last one I came across was years ago at the Ford Store in San Demas California Bill would not let it go extremely to hard to find. The bracket to my knowledge has never been reproduced the original brackets are rare but there must be some around.

Check with Speedway. The still list a cylinder head generator mount for a 37-48, may have one for a later flathead. You may be able to use it with the angled water neck

Weiand made one that would bolt on the top of that in the front.

The crankcase ventilation system on the EAB will also not work correctly with this manifold. Probably the easiest way around this problem would be a PCV system.

Yes, I am already planning on using a PCV system.

Does someone know of similar low profile intake ? I am looking for the shortest intake/carb combo available. Height is going to be a close one for the destination vehicle. I would rather not cut a hole in the hood.

The front carb bowl won't allow a generator on manifolds like that but may allow a bracket for an offset fan mount. Offenhauser had offset generator mounts that fit the intake bolts and head bolts with right or left options on some but they may be limited on an Eddie Meyer set up. A person can fabricate an on center fan mount set up and use an offset generator mount. Speedway carries some of that type stuff.

Here's a selection of low two carb intakes in order left to right Eddie Meyer, Burns, Fenton and Almquist. Height wise the Eddie Meyer, Fenton and Burns all measure 2-5/8 inches in height.
The lowest two carb intake is the Almquist it measures 2-1/4 high.
You can see from the photo the three intakes that include the front mounting location. The Burns intake has the carbs set closer together so the generator can be located in the stock location. Each of these intakes are available if interested send me PM.

Thanks Ron I have a pristine Burns with risers & super rare generator riser. I have only seen one other & it had risers but didn’t know if it was a regular thing. I thought I had read somewhere they all had risers. Thanks Ron.
