It's a very nice socket, and there was enough interest to make a second run, but I haven't heard if that ever happened. Sure glad I got mine on the first run.

Did anything ever become of this? I'd love one of these sockets!

Yes, I received a very nice 13/32" socket and a tube to store it in. Great job. Bill may have found it was more work than he anticipated but I appreciate the effort he put in for us. That was like 4 years ago.

I requested one in Dec 2016. It would be a handy socket to have.

The person that was making them, their last post and time on this site was back in 2017. You could try contacting them with a PM, but I think after one post a while back that I read, think the wind went out of their sail because of that post, that and the sheer volume of requests may have overwhelmed them.

I know this might be a long shot, but here goes. Anybody that bought multiple sockets be willing to sell me one, please? I only ask because it appears they are no longer making them. My 13/32 snap-on 1/4 inch drive socket will not reach the flats on the GAV, plus it is a multi-point. I currently have 3 very stubborn GAV's to remove so I can proceed with the rebuilds. Any help?

Has anyone attempted to take a 10 mm deep well socket and waller it out some to fit? You can possibly use a small triangular file and a dremel tool.

Or dress down the nut portion on the soft GAV to fit a 10 mm with a fingernail file?

Is a 11 mm deep well socket too sloppy to do the job even if some shim stock was added?

I have also seen swap meet carbs that the GAV was hacksawed flush to the bod for some unknown reason. An Easyout tool can be inserted to remove the remainder of the GAV still in the body. Naturally it is then replaced with a “new” replacement GAV.

Luckily I have never needed this 13/32 socket as I have been able to remove the Zenith GAVs in the past with heat and a tiny crescent adjustable wrench and / or needle nosed small vice-grips.

I have access to a Model A era tool for removing the GVA, I can say that not all GVA's take the same size socket. That "T" handled deep socket tool does not fit on all of them. Guessing could be reproduction GVA's that were made to fit a standard size socket or wrench.
