I suggest you open your check book and buy a nice new large capicity radiator.....and stop fooling with that old junk. Been there, done that, and when it comes to cooling..............newer is better.

Thanks to all who replied. I don't mind buying a new radiator except this one is not an "old junk" original, it is a new core, well maybe 10 yrs. old, with absolutely straight fins and except for the buildup should be functional in the hottest weather. I think I'll give CLR and maybe white vinegar a try. If these fail, then as Paul says, "get out the olde checkbook" and stop wasting time. Take care.
