1941 Ford Radiator
Does anyone make a new 1941 Ford radiator with the split for inserting the engine crank? Or, who could rebuild my radiator with the split? The tanks are fine but, my vanes are very bad.

The Brass Works would be the place to go. If you want to use your original tanks you can call Beko Radiator in Concord, California. They will build you the split core. You need to talk to the owner. I don't have the number handy, but you should be able to get it via google.

bob drake makes one for a 40 I see no reason why you couldn't use it in a 41.not cheap at $850 I think early productions used them in 1941

Re: 1941 Ford Radiator
I'm not 100% certain but believe the '41 is taller and a bit narrower than the '40 radiator.
If the '40 - '41 were the same, they would not have had a different part number prefix. Plus you can be certain Drake would be advertising them heavily to fit both years. I suppose you could make anything fit with enough modification but then again - why?

This is exactly why The Ford Barn is outstanding! I would have had to pay to ship it back. I am not wanting to make modifications. |

I also had some calcium spots around tank edge and hose fittings, indicating some seepage. The FlexSeal liquid (as seen on TV!) applied around those areas seems to be holding up fine under heat and pressure. Wire brushed the surfaces clean before brushing on the black goo. Cured for a few days and spray painted black; also holding up fine. |

Call Lee at BrassWorks. He'll know exactly what you need. Well worth the call IMO.

Re: 1941 Ford Radiator
Brassworks made my split core radiator for my ‘41 Fordor. Mine iis a mid year build and the radiator is designed to be pressurized whereas the ‘40 radiator was not. As already mentioned, the top tak is larger than the ‘40.

Re: 1941 Ford Radiator
Brassworks has the split one for $2000. I bought the unsplit one for $1000.
