Default shutter

My 1930 pickup runs and idles real nice until I give it some r's, then it shutters. I was told it's possibly the pressure plate. What all is involved in replacing it with a new one? Thanks Bob

It will be necessary to first remove the backend and transmission for access to remove the clutch .

You might try looking at the finger adjustment first. They can be adjusted thru the inspection cover.

If it shutters or chatters when taking off it could be worn lining or broken hub spring in the disc.If it makes the noise when you are underway it might be the clutch slipping because it is worn out,I would check the clutch pedal shaft free play first and finger adjustment, while you are there lube the throwout brg.
