Re: Light Bulb numbers
Sorry, the list I was reading off of said the 1188 was 12v, but it is actually rated at 5.5v per https://www.interlight.biz/light-bulb/1188
Further checking revealed that the 1000 is also listed at 6.2v not 12 http://www.donsbulbs.com/cgi-bin/r/b.pl/1000~mazda.html More checking: if you list the part # as 1000-12v or 1188-12v, then you get 12v. (without the "-12v", you get 6v) Last edited by CarlG; 05-14-2012 at 05:24 PM. Reason: Add more info |

Re: Light Bulb numbers
Go to your local NAPA store. Tell them that you would like to see their lamp catalog. The catalog has diagrams of all the bulbs that they carry. You can select a bulb by, type of base, bulb size, wattage, candle power, and voltage. If they don't have the bulb that you want in stock, ask them if they could order it from their warehouse. You may have to buy a box of ten if they have to order them from the warehouse. I work for NAPA in Mansfield, Ohio, and I just went through this for my son-in-law for some bulbs he needed for his turn signals on his Model A. If I can be of any help, please ask and I will see if I can locate some of those bulb numbers.

Re: Light Bulb numbers
I have a list of the bulb numbers for Model A applications in a Word document format along with a list of modern part numbers for most of the elctrical parts. The numbers in the list of bulbs were taken off the bulbs themselves. Send me your email address and will send you the list. My email address is [email protected] Got my 1188 12V bulb from Arizona Model A 15838 S. Gilbert Rd. Chandler, AZ 85225 (480) 782-0266 for about $1.50 each. I have gone to NAPA, Don's bulbs and other stores for the headlights and the numbers do not match what is stamped on the bulb so who do you trust? THe 1100 bulb was an original from Mazda lamp co.
