Install brass seat in top of carb w/gasket.This is with the top section on bench upside down.Drop needle in seat [preferably a all steel one,no rubber tipped one] place float in and insert float pin.Now the needle and seat will be in a closed position. Measure from the NO gasket surface to the top of each side of the bottom of the float[which is now on top] 1 7/16". Now tip right side up and make sure float and needle drop about 1/4" not criticle,a little less is ok too.Hope this helps ,i cant do pics. ken ct.
