Default 1932 Ford 3 Wnd. Rear Window

I need some help in installing a rear window regulator in my 32 Ford Coupe...The original builder installed a window on the track but never installed the regulator...I need some measurements to locate it and is there a backing plate or would you use "T" nuts to install it in the wood framing?...

The photos below show the inside and outside of the rear window framework where the regulator is attached.

I hope all this knowledge is stored some where( I mean other than the book) you need some 18 year old to sit at your knee for ten years to soak it all up.

Dick,

As you'll note in the photo below, the regulator is on the right side of the center of the rear window opening. I'm away from my 'stuff' at present so perhaps someone else can provide you with the dimension that you requested. If not, I can do so late in the week.

Dave

Thanx again Dave...
What a super looking coupe...Unfortunately mine is FG and chopped so is somewhat difficult as I am the second owner and have picked up where someone else has left off...But I am happy with her anyway!...I have the regulator from Vintique and it dose'nt look all that bad (goes up and down anyway!) I just have to locate it correctly and I am determined to do so...I figured it was in the passengers side and has to be mounted with the point down so that the arm has the most throw and is as near center as is possible...If I can get the dimension from center I can guess the rest...Thanx again for the great photos...Dick

I have measured from the centre of the rear window on our 3/W to the centre of the tee handle in a horizontal plane across and it is 9-11`/16 inch
