Exhaust systems are either fun to build or a real pain in the butt. They are real pleasant to do when you have the correct parts on hand to fabricate your own system. The clamp mentioned above is one part, and besides the tubing, straight or mandrel pre-bent, what we need are those ugly clamps. Here was my solution….Horton’s Welder Series exhaust pipe brackets and rubber hi-temp grommets.

The triangular flat bracket has a rounded end to weld to the pipe, make you own frame bracket to suit, and use the special rubber grommet for the dampening. With these pieces, I really enjoy making my own exhaust system.

You can probably see some of the details in the photos.

Deuce lover.....thks

I'm not sure I could exit on the side with my Tudor. I would be afraid the exhaust oult come in with the "A/c" on (back windows down)

Robert, that looks like a BW overdrive unit. Do you know if anyone is building these in a torque tube now?

Yes, this is a B-W overdrive unit and this was done some 10+ years ago. The gentleman that actually did all the machining and adaptation passed away. Don't we hate to loose these great people that has contributed so much for our needs. When I last spoke to this man's wife, she told me that someone has taken over the parts, but he only does service, and not equipped to build any more. I did talk to him and confirmed what the lady told me. It's a shame that they are no longer available, to my knowledge, and I am fortunate to have it. I only use the 'Real Ole Stuff' on my Fords....as it was done so many years ago. This is my 'Fun Thing'. Robert

Yes Robert, many of the guys who thought things through and followed up with their hands are going/gone. It is a shame there isn't someone to jump in and take over, but I guess I'm part of the problem.
