Question 31 Victoria patch panels

I hope to be looking at a 31 Victoria in a week or so. It has the usual bubbling of the paint on the bottom of the cowl panels. I've been to a number of vendor's web sites, but I'm a little confused regarding the correct metal cowl patch panels for a Victoria. Also I would appreciate any input on quality. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Smitty

Most vendors carry the correct contoured patches. They have to be shortened to fit a slant
If you are going to install you should be able to modify

Stipe manufacturing had panels that were great to use (had to be cut for use with the Victoria as mentioned) but I don't see them on the site now. I have an extra set.

The cowl patch panels used on my 190A were custom made to fit. Although the patch panels were made to fit the whole width of the cowl, only a small segment of the panels was used to keep as much of the original cowl metal as possible.
