A new assembly with the hub swedged and the drum turned to fit the arc of the shoes. With new wheel studs, this was turned to true after hub was installed. Races are included. All New.

To my knowledge unless it states they are cast iron, they are not.

Cast iron is ductile as I remember with steel being malleable?

I dont know who manufactures the drums Macs sell, nor do I know who manufactures the drums Mikes sells- you would have to ask them and see what they say.

Here is what I know. Their are 3 maunfacturers of new cast iron drums currently. Two are USA made, one is not.

We install dozens of sets every month, and I know that the good ones work well. Installed two sets today. We have dozens in stock. We prefer to install them on original hubs. I have seen new rear hubs wear very prematurely. Their are at least two manufacurers of hubs, both NOT USA made.

I have purchased two sets of cast iron drums from Berts over the last two years and both work well.

Last time I tried Macs and Brattons they didn't have a full set of 4. I called Snyders and the lady on the phone told me they made them.

If they only had one it would have been best if they would have called you and let you know that was the case instead of only shipping one. I can nearly gaurantee Bert's would have called to let you know before shipping only one and wasting your shipping money. Rod
