We used to buy ALL kinds of crap at the War Surplus Stores I liked the Window Sticker, "DO NOT OPEN THE WINDOWS AT SPEEDS OF OVER 120 MPH"

One Guy fashioned a gear shift out of a Flight Control Stick--"UP, UP & AWAY"
Sure hope ALL you are havin' as good a day as I'm havin'---Out of ANTI-PAIN-PILLS for 3 DAYS & finally got my refill, this morning. It's HELL, when you HURT--NLOL--I've had SO many surgeries, I never know what's hurting & from WHAT???? It sure feels GOOD, whin the Hurtin' STOPS
OH, the Surplus Store had a MOUNTAIN of Foot Lockers, ALL LOCKED, they hand you a HUGE Ring of KEYS. Decisions, decisions???? Do I try ALL the keys in EACH Locker, or try one (1) key, in All the lockers????---LOL--We were there for 3 1/2 HOURS!!!

Were the original patent plates all the same, or did they change over the years of production? I know there were at least two different styles of rivets used to mount them. Are there any pictures of known original plates?

My car had 2 data plates stacked together originally from the factory (6-7-29 tank date). the better looking one was under the other.

The august 1930 Briggs town sedan that I use to have had two plates . The upper plate was narrow and used only 2 drive rivets . The upper narrow plate uses larger drive rivets . These data plates and drive rivets are available from most model A parts vendors . I've used the larger rivets on horn name plates when I drilled the holes to large for the original size .
