They go on the wheel cylinder side.
And, if you haven’t run the hard lines to the master cylinder brass block yet, you’ll need two there as well, they go on each side of the brass fitting. They are a bit more special and likely you won’t match those up locally. The part # on those is 91A-2152 and 91A-2151 |

There seems to be a major price difference between the earlier wheel cylinder thread size and the later (F1) size! I use the F1 brake setup and the brake hoses are around $7 at Rock Auto and $13 at NAPA.

On Napa or Rockauto I'm sure the earlier ones are more expensive, but likely not from a Early Ford Parts supplier like Joe's, etc... We retail the 1939-48 Ford fronts for $13.95 a pair.
