Default Scam ---

It has been brought to my attention that someone is using the name of the EFV-8C National President to solicit giftcards for "Veterans at Hospice and Palliative care units for preventive items against Corona Virus Disease ( COVID-19). "

Please be advised that the Early Ford V-8 Club and the National President are not participating in this and most likely is a scam to get giftcards sent to a fraudulent email address.

Please be aware.

Bruce this could be a club wide scam. We got one of these requests from our past RG president. I've notified our current RG prez, vice prez and our newsletter editor to warn all the members. They probably got their hands on a roster someplace.

Our T-bird club president's address was hacked and I get requests like that on a somewhat frequent basis. Hit 'delete' and move on. Long story short - I don't trust any 'sob stories' or requests for donations made online, over the phone, etc. Period. End of Story.

So far -- the members that have contacted the EFV-8C have been Regional Group Presidents -- so they (the fraudulent scammers) are getting the email addresses from the Regional Club Directory on the EFV-8C web site.

flatford8 summed it up -- the lengths that some people go.

Stay safe. And believe in the right and logical things and say a prayer for the first responders.
