Default Door bottom repair panel

Anybody know which parts company has a patch panel to repair just the bottom inch or two of the bottom of a 28/29 closed cab door?

I think Howell's is the only company that makes the door patch panel as far as I know. Howell's is not known for high quality sheetmetal parts, but their pickup patch panels could be decent. I have never bought and installed one. I think most parts suppliers sell Howell's pickup door patch panels. You might call Bratton's, Bert's and Snyder's and ask who's panels they sell.

Howell's makes crappy panels and has no customer service.

As was mentioned, Howells quality isn't very good, but it is a panel. What I've noticed is that their bead doesn't look like the original. The only other option is make one.

Thanks, that's not great news for me, Howells is in Beaumont Texas, only a few hours away. I planned on making a trip for a complete bed and four fenders. Any opinions?

I thought I saw a bed in the Swap Meet section the other day.

Might want to check Craig's list or even ebay first.

I have not heard about their in-person service, their phone, and online service yes but not in person.

Go to my picture and click on it, then go to my album, "My A". There's some pictures of how I fixed my front door, making my own patch. You have to go through them as they are out of order. It wasn't hard! BTW, You'll probably need to make the wooden (Ash) piece that usually rots out with it.

Great work, mine is not so bad that I need both inner and outer. The bottom is sitting in evapo rust right now I'll post pictures when it comes out.

Great work, hopefully mine is not that extensive.
