Rare 1929 AA Mail Truck Body. One of only 400 built in ’29. Body is dissembled; most of the wood is good for patterns only. Re: 1929 AA Mail Truck Body
Hi Tom -
I noticed your add on FordBarn, and in particular the following: "The 1929 cowl is not included but I have the special parts to reinstall a ’29 cowl." I am in the process of trying to finish a '29 mail truck (ours is the small mail truck that was originally mounted to a passenger car chassis), but all of the cowl related hardware was missing when we found this old gentleman in a local junkyard years ago. We have just finished all of the wood structure beginning at the front door posts, but are having to guess how the cowl mounting and attachments might have originally been designed and fitted. Would you perhaps be willing to take some pictures and/or perhaps consider making some drawings of these pieces (or if you might consider selling those parts, please let me know your thoughts on that possibility as well). Any guidance you might be able to offer would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help and insight you can offer. Dick |
