Default 55 crown Victoria hel0 needed

Im looking for help to ID a part. Im restoring a 55 ford crown Victoria and looking for a small exterior door trim piece. However i do not even know what it would be called let alone the fomoco part number or where to find it.

The piece is about 2×2inches and is just outside the door lock knob on the ext. door panel (below the side 'crown pillar' on the roof.
Picture attached. Thanks in advance for any info u can provide.

I have seen those in an ad. Reproduction part. Don't remember where since I didn't need them. Pretty pricey. If I can find the ad or the supplier I will post it.

The part # for the left/driver side is B5A-6420189-A. It's called door outside rear upper corner molding.

Fits '55-'56 Crowns, Body style 64A and 64B (glass top & steel top).

Maybe try searching by part number for a possible source.

Terminal "parts disease"

It's in the old Ford parts book that I have. Exterior moldings section for '55s.

Not to worry though, as an old parts guy from many years ago, I've had my share of being stumped when trying to find some things.

It is just a small chrome piece that fills the gap from the stainless band over the roof to the door. Cannot find pic, had one 3 PC's ago.

Here is a close up picture of that elusive small Trim Piece on the door, unique to the 1955 Ford Crown Victoria.

I looked at the EBAY auction. Some people are crazy. I would rather make one out of steel and have it chrome plated, than pay $600 for a pair. Plus they are reproductions. Not even original. Greed really prevails here.

Don't use steel use brass. Easier to carve and drill for pin and the screw and brasss loves Chrome...

Some of the prices for this old car stuff is really beyond belief! And repros to boot! Hope they put them in this guy's coffin...
