Default how to clean gas tank

Suggestions on how to clean gas tank? Are there filters in there than need replaced.

Yes there can be a penicil filter installed
If it is rusty you can drain it and fill with cleaner like Evapo-rust or remove it cut open and clean
If it is dirty flush with cleaning solvent
