Smile cowl post installation-speedster

Hello everybody,
I have some questions about the correct way to install the 29 roadster left and right cowl post. I have studied the post and the bracket that holds the cowl post to the sub rail, when the firewall slides into the sub rail does the bottom bracket fit on the bottom where the sub rail and firewall meet. I will have to drill 2 holes for the 7/16" carriage bolts to go through.
Is this the correct way?

Also, installing the gas tank on the firewall cowl the cross brace and the butterfly brackets holding the dash rail? together I have not figured out that part yet. Any help is appreciated.
The deadline to complete the speedster is May of 2017.

Thanks,
Jim M.

Sorry, 1928-1929 style speedster
My question: Is this the correct way to install the cowl posts and placement of the holding brackets?
Second question: what is the correct way to installing the gas tank using the cross brace and butterfly brackets?

Here's some pictures of this area of the open bodies. If what you need to know isn't shown here, I've got lots more pictures. The cowl post bottom bracket was attached to the subframe with 3 rivets, and the post itself also had 2 rivets on the outside into the subframe. The gas tank was bolted to both the firewall and the cross brace and bolt/clamps were used to secure it to the top of the cowl panels. Not sure what you're calling the butterfly brackets, but guessing that they're the ones near the top of each cowl pillar - these are used to attach the interior finish panel that covers the cross brace. I've got lots more pictures if what you're looking for isn't shown in these.

Randy,
Could you please send me additional pictures of the 29 roadster cowl post position near the gas tank and how they line up with the side fire wall cowl.

Thank You,
Jim M.
