Have committed to buying a 1932 Ford gas tank that is located in San Francisco, CA. The seller is unable to ship. Wondering if anyone would pick up the gas tank from the seller, package it, and ship it to me? I'll pay for shipping and handling fee, including your time. Thanks.

If he could simply drop it off at a FedEx store they will package it and ship it. Also if you have a FedEx acct number all you have to do is give the seller your account number and they will simply just bill you

If you can smell gas fumes, it will be a problem no matter which shipping company.

Fastenal shipped a gas tank from a '40 big truck for me but I had to package it.

Need to put the tank in a large zip lock bag. Then it can be shipped.

unfortunately tried that route and he is not willing to...

Hello , I am North of SF and can possibly help. Let me know . I get into the city a couple times a week . I would box it up and ship it to you , no problem.

UPDATE.......1932 V8 (Mike) went above and beyond any expectations I could have had and the gas tank is now in my garage in GA! He made arrangements with the seller and went to look at it, paid for it out of his own pocket, allowed me to reimburse him after the fact, cleaned it with soap/water and aired it out to get the varnish smell out of it, carefully packaged it up, shipped it on his on dime, and then again allowed me to reimburse him after the fact.

Fordbarn member/fellow car enthusiast at its best! Mike is truly an outstanding guy. Thank you my friend! I can't thank you enough for helping my project along. I hope to be able to reciprocate one day...
