Default Let's See Your Model T

Although I am an Early V-8 Man, I find Ford Model T cars very interesting.

Please post a photo of your Model T car or truck.

Would love to see vintage photos of Model T as well.

This Model T is not mine--I shot the photo at Bob's Body Shop, an antique auto friendly shop.

Mine is a rather common place 26 Coupe, actually produced in October 1925. I loved the 26-27 Royal Maroon color but the car was originally BLACK contrary to conventional wisdom that all early coupes were green. Am thinking of repainting it black.

Here is a power unit fresh out of a Kentucky barn. Interesting wide belt pulley on rear. Made out of a 1920 Ford. Runs great and took very little to get it running! Judging from the neighborhood it came from I'm guessing it pulled a saw rig.

You guys notice a lot of things about this picture that I never even considered all of these years. Thanks for the observations. May have to dig out some more pictures of this old rig and post them.

Absolutely, post some more pictures! If the wheels came with the car originally it can only be a 1926, since wire wheels were standard in 1927 and wood wheels were unavailable.

The way I read Bruce's encyclopedia, wood wheels were used on the first 1927 cars before wires became standard equipment late in 1926. Bruce doesn't say it, but my guess would be that wood remained an option.

Our T, mostly 1914, please don't shoot me for having a speedster. It's our first T and I must say we've really enjoyed it.

This was taken as we were about to leave Pendine Sands after a weekend of racing on the beach last year, we're back there again this year at the start of July.

No one will shoot on this site for having a speedster. Even better one that you race. That is real cool. What is great you use it. Nice car. That has to be a lot of fun.

This is a pickup I made from a spare chassis and the front of a roadster cowl. I sold it to a guy who's dog drove it into a tree.
The TT is one I bought from a barn where it sat since 1950. I got it in 1998, and got it running and took it to shows for a few years, then sold it.

Push the button under the reply box that says "go advanced" and then look for the button that looks like a paper clip. Push that and a box will pop up that lets to chose one or several photos from your computer, then push the button that says "upload", and it will attach to your message.

I use these 3 most;

The 1914 touring is very stock & restored with some modifications under the hood. The tires & wheels limit its speed capability but the power is really noticeable at safe speeds.

The 1926 touring is an original car with one previous owner. It is just a good driver.

The green 1926 roadster is a well used & abused Kansas farm car. It runs & drives better than most restored cars & is a ton of fun.

The first picture is of my T crossing the remnants of a 1913 overpass on the original trail of the Motor Parkway on Long Island. The last picture is a view back to the overpass with a 1908 Alco, the "Black Beast", parked in front of it. The middle picture is on the way to the surviving section of the Motor Parkway through the grounds of the Old Bethpage Village Restoration. That is the Fairgrounds building in the background.

My '24 Coupe was my first, and I thought, my last T. Next thing you know a '25 touring showed up. The touring was purchased new in the town I live in. Both cars are unrestored... and run great!

Just bought this today at a swap meet; 1923, fully street legal, all original, down to original rubber mat. A bit tatty, but, hey, they're only original once. I will definitely not be restoring this thing!
I normally hang out on the early V8 forum, where I am an active participant, having owned and driven a '35 V8 since the '70's. Time I stepped up and bought a 'real Ford'.

Great looking one - appears to be Canadian? I would love to see more photos from different angles and under the hood. We don't get a chance to see many of the Canadian T's here.

I thought I posted this before , but I didnt write myself a note ya get CRS
after 65 dont ya know. This 23 bought new by a lady who died in 1943 then
bought by a person in the early 50's, he didnt do anything but for storage
till the 80', then sold it to a guy who really didn't do a frame off but kept it
up. All factory panels no bondo or repros. All he did was new; now 20yr old
tires, engine was in boxed up pieces. I machined the engine, thats what we
do here. After all that my boy vidios this but I anint got a clue how to insert
a vidio in a post?????

Like that? there was a little button with a badly drawn picture of the earth resting on a badly drawn image of some chain links i clicked that button and a dialogue box appeared asking for the link.

I sold the RPU I posted to a friend so that I could buy this!

1919 model TT. It was equipped with a photography darkroom on the back and I couldn't resist. Just too cool. It starts up and runs, but needs a little tinkering with to run better.
