Default Seat ideas

Looking for bench seat options for a 48 -51 Ford truck. Tracks and risers not important ,just looking for a seat that will dimensionally fit.

Ford ranger seats, from the 90s up until 2003 or so, fit excellent. Some even had a small indent in the lower seat cushion to add more room for a floorshift. Course that is a 20+year old used seat that will need some restoration and recovering just like the factory seat will.

I used a 3rd row seat fron my '88 suburban in a '47 truck. It fit perfectly and looked right because it was a pleated tan vinyl. 3rd row seats are plentiful on CL and many have been sitting in a corner of the garage unused. Plain, squarish and easily mounted.

Don't know abut a '48-'51 seat but on my '40 1 1/2 ton I used a 2nd row seat from a Chrysler mini van. Fit just right. I suspect your truck cab is wider so maybe the 3rd row seat would be a better fit.

Third seats from SUVs or medium size vans are a good choice. Out here we have Pick-N-Pull yards and nice seats sell around $50. Some are even in leather.
