Default What an Unusual State of Affairs.......no Model A

For the first time since October 1986, we do NOT own a Model A.
It does feel a little unusual.

We sold our MARC of Originality Coupe through the FordBarn classifieds.
I will let the new owner identify himself to y'all if and when he chooses.
He is an experienced Model A guy who owns multiple cars and appreciates preserving originals.
Now we're waiting for TrulyVintage to come to our home and pick it up.

OK, Ryan, where's this ChevyBarn you are working on? I'm gonna need it now......

We will continue to lurk and post when appropriate.
Not certain when we will get another Model A.
Keep 'em between the ditches, guys.......

-C.

VCCA.org should be able to meet your needs...

I have joined VCCA but have not made the time to get their message board to work.
It has proven a bit contrary.
Just hoping for ChevyBarn to appear with a familiar user-friendly format.

I've been a member of the VCCA for years and have found their website/forum to be very helpful. Their forum section that would correspond to the Model-A FordBarn covers the years '29-'32. And yes,
the ..'Barn does seem to be of a higher quality. Mainly because there
are many times more people involved with the "A..'Barn" then the '29-'32
Chevy forum section.

We sold the Coupe last month but the new owner had a difficult time getting it transported.

Finally he got hooked up with TrulyVintage, who came to our house today and picked it up.....

the participants are few and far between since there are so few early chevies left. How many early chevies have you seen at shows where there was a flood of As ?

The wood behind the steel in those chevies was poplar; not maple and oak like the As.

Then again, no one expected any of these cars to still be around 80 yrs later.

Hey Chris, That picture sure is a site for sore eyes! Hallelujah for Jim of Truly Vintage. The Coupe sure looks good in that picture. I'm getting excited about driving it now that I know it's on the way. What a piece of Model A history to get to take care of. Tom

Thumbs up Re: What an Unusual State of Affairs.......no Model A

Thanks Steve & Tom ....

Spent the weekend with my daughter in Dayton

Went to the opening of Dayton Performing Arts on Saturday

Ceaser Creek fossil bed hunting on Sunday - then a haunted hayride

Brake work on the truck this morning - then on to Wisconsin

Chris, sorry to hear you are leaving the Model A world. I know you had a great time on your tours to French Lick and others in the Model A. Hopefully your Model A knowledge will apply somewhat to the new "off-brand" car you are going to.
Is it time for another delivery of Schell's Beer to help you adjust?

Dennis, I'm not completely leaving.
will still be lurking and expect to be at French Lick next year with or without an A.
more Schells is welcome whenever you happen to be in the neighborhood, we've got plenty of great Asheville beers to swap.

tbitrdtbird, the wood in our Chebby has miraculously survived intact.
as soon as I make time to purge the debris of ages from the fuel system and tighten up the brakes, we'll be back on the road!
