Arrow Some of our Latest Wood graining at Honest Charley Garage

We have been very busy the past few months with our wood graining projects and haven't had the time to share some of our work. I will be updating this blog for days to come showing work completed. Here is a 1939 Ford Woody dash that has been completed. Very cool story about this project is that the customer found this car in a storage building that was locked away untouched since the 1940's. It was described as finding a time capsule, everything in amazing shape! The dash was in good shape but needed to be restored. I was extremely excited to see that the parts were in great shape being all original! I was able to get a perfect match of the wood graining and colors used in 1939 (shown in last photo) that couldn't have been a closer match. Its always a pleasure when we can find and document original examples of wood graining so that we have it for the years to come. Thank you for all of the support!

That is an amazing match. You are highly skilled at something that has almost been lost. 3 cheers for you and your results!

Thank you for the all support! Here is a 1947 Ford Woody dash and trim that was recently finished. We were very lucky to have the customer send a ashtray cover that has been untouched. This gave us a great match to follow. The finished product is a beauty of itself.
