overdrive
Can anyone tell me if the '53 Mercury cars with overdrive came with the overdrive script trim on the deck lid like Ford cars? I saw a older restoration 53 Mercury today that had several options , including overdrive. all the options appeared to be original to the car, but , it did not have the emblem on the deck lid. I am just curious about this. ThanJim

Re: overdrive
They did in most cases. I'm not sure about Canada though in Ralph's case. They also had the Merc-O-Matic emblems.
My older 1951 cars didn't have an emblem for overdrive but they did for the Merc-O-Matic when it came out in 1951 production. |
