Welcome To The New Ford Barn!
Wow… It’s been a crazy couple of weeks here at the brand spanking new Ford Barn World Headquarters. Acquiring the Ford Barn was not in the cards for this year, but we just couldn’t sit idly buy and let the doors close. We’d simply gotten too much out of the joint in the past to let that happen. A quick phone call to every man’s hero, Shelly, and the deed was done. Now you fellas have to put up with me as I try like hell to fill her huge shoes. The first order of business was to get the Ford Barn into a more modern environment. You are looking at the new threads right now… Ain’t she grand? This was done for two primary reasons: 1. The old Ford Barn data is priceless and we wanted it preserved and searchable. The new format will allow us to search all of the great posts of old and learn from our past… and that’s what we are all about, right? While the old data has not been imported yet, it will be very soon. Hold your horses. 2. The old Ford Barn was also hard to use, full of spam, and just downright impossible to maintain. The new format fixes all of this and gives all of you many more options as far as functionality. Now, I’m sure there is a contingent of you that is resistant to change. I get it. And I’m going to try as hard as I can to ease you into this new format. Take your time, be patient, and you just might be surprised with what we have put together here. A good place to start is with the basic tutorial I put together for you. Click here to check it out. The rest of you are probably pretty familiar with our format. Jump in and have fun… This all for you. To close, I just want to thank Shelly once again for giving me this opportunity. She has served this community so well over the years and I am honored to pick up the torch and give it my all as well. See you fellas on the flip side. Ryan Cochran P.S. There are bound to be some bugs and broken links floating around the new site. If you see any, just post them on the Q&S forum. I’ll get em fixed! |

I've been a HAMB member for a while, and found it quite useful. I came to the Ford barn, but had a hard time finding what I needed. Much better now, and with the same format as the HAMB, I didn't need to learn anything new.

This is going to be fun, I can feel it in my bones. All I need is to now get that '36 ford that isn't for sale, but one that I will someday own.

Re: Welcome To The New Ford Barn!
First post here. Been on the H.A.M.B. for years and just today found this Forum. Man, I wish I'd known sooner. This'll feel like "home" for a Ford guy. Currently helping a buddy do a full on resto of the rustiest damn 55 T-bird I have ever seen! I'll be checking in when I need a tetanus shot or a pep session.

Re: Welcome To The New Ford Barn!
I'm the new guy , I guess , and didn't know about the "Old Ford Barn " so I'll come in , grab a cup of coffee and have a look around .
I'm a car guy in general and a Ford guy specifically . I have admiration for the work guys do on any make and model but I come from a Ford family and sold Fords for 25 years or so . No toys in the garage right now but I've had 12 mustangs over the years ( one at a time ) starting with a '68 GT fastback I bought new ....wish I'd kept it . I plan to get into another older Ford , fairly soon , and get back in the swing of things .......also into model railroading which takes up the rest of my time . I do like '32, 33-34 and '40's in particular but will have to settle for something a little cheaper than what those classics bring these days ......maybe early to mid 50's Ford or Merc . T |

Hi Ryan, Can you please tell me what the Green Dot against some Fordbarners?
Also, some of the Photos that I have posted recently have been removed. Is there a reason for this? The most recent photo that disappeared was one showing a 1958 Edsel Spinner Hubcap that I posted today. This related to the original Post about Edsel Hubcaps, but was deleted. Why? Re: Welcome To The New Ford Barn!
I just wanted to add my comments to the welcome to the forum posts, if for no other reason than to keep the posts near the top. However, it seems to me that the number of posts is declining. Hopefully, as the winter weather melts away, and the cars come out of hibernation, we'll be seeing more posts. Lastly, just wanted to say "thanks" to the Administrators of the site, and best of luck to keep it going.

Re: Welcome To The New Ford Barn!
I have been a long time member and user of the FORD BARN. One problem has continued to aggravate me (and many other FB users). That being the inability of many of us to post pictures to our messages. Now up to about 4-5 years ago , this was NOT a problem. So whatever the administration of this fine web site changed , it made it impossible for many of us to post attachment pictures. This highly discourages many of us from participating fully in the many great discussions.
Dont know what can be done about this, but you should know and realize this would be a great thing for you to fix. It would be appreciated by all of us. Steve |

Re: Welcome To The New Ford Barn!
If you are using a PC it should not be a problem to post pictures from Windows as you have a "My Pictures" file I dumped Windows a couple of years ago and switched to a Zorin O.S. ( https://zorinos.com/ ) it also has a "My Pictures" file when you scroll down under your comment see "advanced" then you can transfer the picture from your file to here. Posting pictures from a "smart" phone is usually the real issue.

Re: Welcome To The New Ford Barn!
Hello Everyone. Was looking for a site that I might be able contribute some of my knowledge and glean knowledge from other members.
I just recently came into possession of a 1958 Meteor Sedan Delivery. It is basically a rolling shell. It has what I believe to be, a 292 engine with a 3 speed column shift. Overall the body is fairly solid with only the usual rust areas. |
