Default V8 clutch fingers squeak

Installed a v8 clutch on my coupe and where the new throw out bearing contacts the adjustment bolts it squeaks like hell. Very annoying. Any advise on what to do ? Thanks

A dab of grease on each contact point.

Mine did also; found that one finger of the 3 wasn't at the correct height setting and the clutch free play wasn't per spec after installation.

I smeared some grease on the face of the throwout bearing. Went away. For now haha

Not sure what brand throw out bearing you installed, but we’ve had to deal with a percentage of new bearings from Federal Mogul / National that were excessively hard to rotate. We’ve had to individually test each and every one to make sure it rotates smoothly and easily. This would be the Ford B-7580 which is the same as the 78-7580. The F-M number is 2065. We’ve returned all the tight ones to FM.

If you’ve got a new FM bearing in there, this could possibly be the cause. I don’t know how long the grease you put on there will help, but it’s not going to resolve this particular problem in my opinion. The bearing should rotate internally with the three fingers not skidding more than a second or so after pushing in the clutch.

We still believe that this is the best brand available for this part. Trying to get this issue reported back to the appropriate people in charge of QC but it’s a huge company and I feel like we’re not being heard. We just keep checking and rejecting for now.....
