Re: no gas to carb
The electric fuel pump should pump gas to and through the stock mechanical pump provided the mechanical pump is still in the mix.

Re: no gas to carb
Not all electric pumps will allow gas to be pulled through them by the mechanical pump. Your fuel line or possibly an in-line filter could be plugged, as well.

Re: no gas to carb
Sounds like the flex line to the fuel pump may be plugged or have a vacuum leak. Check it out.

Re: no gas to carb
Is the gas tank original ?
Has it ever been flushed ? You might have rust/sediment in the tank. Jim |

Re: no gas to carb
I would probably run new line from tank and use the mechanical only. But that is me.
Something to note, and not what your asking... but, putting a electric fuel pump inline with the mechanical pump could be problematic. If the diaphragm tears on the mechanical pump you will be pushing gas into your crank case. Now some have electrics inline with a mechanical pump for priming, which is not the same as using the electric pump as the main and just pushing it through your mechanical pump. Best of luck! |
