Waldron Exhaust Any Good?
I am getting ready to put together the exhaust system on my 51 F1. I have gone back to stock manifolds, as the headers installed by the PO don't clear the manual steering box, so the dual exhaust he installed will need additions and modifications to fit and work.
I have been researching dual exhaust systems and came across Waldron's Exhaust http://www.waldronexhaust.com/ I like the idea of a ready to install all stainless system that appears to be properly designed for this specific truck. It seems to me to be a lot easier than having the truck towed to a local shop for custom work/installation. Anybody here have any experience with Waldron's? any suggestions? Thanks. John |

Re: Waldron Exhaust Any Good?
I have used Waldron on several occasions. Perfect fit every time. This was on post war Hudsons. Those cars have little room for errors. (Step Downs).

I bought a set from them for my 64 Fairlane and they were right in every respect.

Re: Waldron Exhaust Any Good?
Has anyone used Waldrons dual conversion kit on a 1935 using the original cast iron headers.

Re: Waldron Exhaust Any Good?
Based upon the feedback I received both here and at FTE, I went ahead and placed the order with Waldron's. If the customer service is any indication, I believe that I will be VERY pleased with the end product.
They were very helpful over the phone, and even helped me save money on shipping by using Fastenal instead of shipping directly to me. They also have USA made universal hangers, which is great. The order includes the 4 universal hangers, all stainless dual exhaust, stainless glass pak mufflers, all clamps, bolts, and gaskets. With shipping-$690.00. And, I happen to have just picked up a 1964 Studebaker Avanti that is in need of a new exhaust system. Same deal-all stainless dual exhaust, universal hangers, all clamps, bolts, gaskets, etc. And they will ship it with the F1 exhaust for $20.00 more! Of course, I do have to wait 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. I think that I will manage. |
