Default louse clutch and brake shaft

Will I got my new shaft today went right out and put in the bell housing. Fit like a glove nice and tight. I guess the old shaft was just wore out. Does the pin need to be heated to Penn it? Seamed to be a soft metal.

No heat needed for the pin.
