Ohio pistons
I have a new set of .080" Ohio pistons from 1988. The engine is supposedly set up for them. I have t checked. They are full skirt. Anyone know if these are a reliable piston or not? Tia

Re: Ohio pistons
I have used Ohio pistons before and feel that they are probably better than most of the stuff being sold currently. Some guys now balk at the use of full skirt pistons but they have worked well for 80+ years. That is, unless you are building a race motor and want to employ the latest stuff.

Re: Ohio pistons
I like full skirts on my pistons, and mini skirts on my women.

Re: Ohio pistons
Yes Ohio Pistons are very well made. You won't have any problem with them as long as you run enough clearance. .0035 to .004 should do it.

Re: Ohio pistons
Now that I think of it, Ohio also made the pistons sold under Montgomery Wards "Riverside" brand so that company made a lot of pistons back in the day.
