Default front axle for 1934 Ford

Hello
I am wondering if there ever was somebody offering 2" dropped front axles? I know of the common 4" drop for the hot rod scene. Was an axle available that is not as radically dropped? I might be interested in a 2" drop.
Thanks for any information.
cheers, Harty

There are a couple of guys on the H.A.M.B. that drop axles, so I am sure they can drop one to your specifications. "Okie Joe" is one of them, but I don't remember the others.

Best check over there for "Hot Rod" stuff.

Hi; I understand that the Model A axle is the 'Zero' drop standard, and that the stock V8 axle is a 2" drop from that 'Zero'. Then a 4" drop would be an additional 2" drop of a stock V8 axle. Or 4" from a Model A of 'Zero'. Newc

Chiming in with Newc... Be careful with the terminology... 4-in drop does not usually mean 4-in from stock. It means 4-in total, or, around 2-in from stock. In any event, please check it out. I think your asking for 2-in from stock, meaning a 4-in axle ??? opinion.

Yes, a stock Ford axle (33-34) is ~2 inches. A 4 inch dropped axle is the stock 2 inches plus an additional 2 inches.

That would be a 3 inch dropped axle. I would check with Oki Joe and see what he can do.
