Guide to replace wood in a touring car
I am looking at a '24 touring that someone had installed new wood in the body, however, everything is badly done. The wood was attached with carriage bolts. Is there a video, tutorial or other type of guide on how to properly replace the wood in a touring car? I want to see what I will be getting into if I decide to buy the car and do everything over.
Thanks. |

Re: Guide to replace wood in a touring car
Not really re the videos and tutorias. Might take a look at You Tube. There is stuff on the web but you will need to search it out. Fordwood.com has some good drawings and there has been stuff posted on the Model T Ford Club of America over the years. Even kits need to be fitted, so you do have to have some skill and wood working tools along with a place to work. If it's a major redo the sheet metal has to come off and will need fittings as you go along.
