need help in identifying a steering wheel/column

was given this steering wheel and shaft a while ago- cleaning out the garage and would like to sell it, but unsure of what it fits - someone told me its for a 46 ford truck, then another guys says its not for a 46, but he was not sure what it fits - someone else said its from a late 48 car
any help, much appreciated

42-48 steering column and it looks like a '47 steering wheel.

It looks like a post war car setup I had. I used the box in my 41 pickup.

Column drop is a 48, the steering box by itself will fit 1941 to 48 cars and 42 to 47 pickups by the length of the steering shaft.
The box itself will fit 1937 to 48 cars and 37 to 47 pickups.
Bits and pieces cross over years that make up the column tube and the shifter setup

What is the condition of the steering wheel? Any cracks? Someone can use this and if it's a young person in the hobby why not price it affordable to them? You never know who you might be able to help out.

Unbroken horn ring is the most valuable piece of it all.

Shipping the long pieces hurts the sale most of the time.

ok... i'm in huntington, long island new york - i will take the wheel cover off and take some add. pics and post.... as to the price, i'll be more then reasonable - i've been selling off all my mopar parts collected over the last 20yrs - all at reasonable prices, as i'm done with cars, so let someone who's into them use the parts and get the 'rush' i felt years ago...

I assume you're referencing my avatar photo? That is a 1931 Model A Victoria. My first car. I bought it when I was 18. I'm 39 now. Clyde would have preferred a V8 Ford. I'm not fortunate enough to own a 1933 Victoria. Maybe if I ever become a multi millionaire.

There are pix of Bonnie and Clyde with a rare 32 Convertible Sedan, stolen of course. They were killed in a 34 Fordor, also stolen. There are several fakes of the death car, with obviously different bullet hole patterns.
