I only took 3 pictures of this amazing tudor. By this time , I was O.D.ing on cars and not thinking too straight. Cars like this make my head spin...or maybe it was the smell of mothballs coming from the interior !

Are you sure ?? It has a Heater, different Coil, & they could have at least put on some correct style re-pop water hoses... Water pump looks ??..

Is that a heater hose tapped into the rear of the head? Was that a dealer installed option or an after market product. Being from the south I haven't much familiarity with cold weather Model A tricks of the trade. Is it a '30 or '31.

I try not to be too critical of 80 year old cars. In that amount of time, alot of things get replaced as necessary. The fact that it exists in any state at all is exciting enough for me. This was displayed in the HPOF class which requires original features....and this car had 'em. It is not a purporting to be a 100% correct restored car and could not compete with them. This car is a testament to the durability and timelessness of the Model A we all love. It is also the go-to textbook on basic originality. Thousands of little questions this artifact can answer that we can only guess about. It should be given the respect that we would give any 80 year old.

Man, with only one day at Hershey, I didn't take in too many cars. I really wish I would have seen it, I too am less critical if a car is a true low original mileage vehicle.

The actual mileage is now 5,300 miles and it's history is well known, It is an April 1931 Tudor. I read in another post that it may appear in a story in the near future. Steve, I was lucky enough to spend Tuesday thru Saturday there...on the grounds...day and night just like God intended, and I still got to see maybe 60% of the spaces. We're all just doin what we can !

I will make it a point to allow more time for it in the years to come. I am still amazed at the vehicles that show up. In the early 80's I had been reading an issue of Antique Automobile, an article about a gentleman by the name of Walter Sealey. A true restoration artist, restored what was left of 4 very early American underslungs. I met him with one of the restored cars on the car coral in about '83. Like the brief town car sighting, you never know what you will see or miss at Hershey. I look forward to it every year, thanks for the pictures....

That is what you call a time capsule. I have a ...I hate to say a 69 camaro with 14,460 miles. They need to be preserved not restored....Dave

This is my Vicky at the AACA national meet in Bristol TN. this summer it was also in th HPOF class.

I have seen this car years ago at a A.A.C.A.National meet in North Carolina[1989] when it had 3'500 miles. A super car. Body is perfect.

.. Yes some parts were replaced over the 80+ years but expected. I believe this is the 3 owner of this car. Sorry i did not get back there to see it again.

Thanks for posting. Incredible to see a car in that condition after 80 years! Remember folks, this was just an old used car for a many, many years, but somebody had the foresight to preserve it and now it's something spectacular! Imagine buying say, a Ford Focus today, and keeping it up like that until 2091!

There is a 1929 Fordor like this one, out there somewhere, that a Ford dealer, Grady Whitlock of Beckley, West Virginia, traded some hogs for, years ago.
I have not seen the car since the 60s. I sure hope that someone didn't "restore" it.
