Hope, by no means did you 'butt in on someone else's space'. I think it's good that many of us barners are learning we are not alone with the medical problems we face. I am encouraged by all the success stories here. Thanks all who have contribited your stories and encouraged Anthony (and the rest of us) here!

Re: Been in hospital 4 Spinal Surgery
Had a defibrillator fitted a couple of months back to slow the heart rate.
They found I had a mass on my left kidney. Due to be removed on Nov 2nd. I'm 75 next week. Oh to be 19 again. |

Re: Been in hospital 4 Spinal Surgery
Good to here your on the mend, take it easy like everyone says. I took care of my mom last year (lived there for 1.5 months) after 9 fused vertebrae (2 a few years prior to that) and after a year she's still uses her brace sometimes around the house. She's regained most of the feeling back in her leg, foot and lower back (they said it will still continue to get better) and she has very little pain.

Re: Been in hospital 4 Spinal Surgery
All the best. After 30 years as a GP in New Zealand I can tell you we have some pretty fine Doctors here as well. If there is anything I can help you with just let me know. Getting old is not great but the alternative lacks appeal as well LOL -Karl

Re: Been in hospital 4 Spinal Surgery
I had spinal surgery on 8/27/20, within days of getting the ok to go back to work, the warrantee on my gall bladder expired. That came out on 9/25/20. The doc had to go in on 9/28 and remove stones that lodged where they shouldn’t be and really pissed off my liver.
Hopefully this is done for awhile. Winters coming and I’m gonna have snow to move. I always thought getting old would take longer!!....Heal well guys!.....Mark

Glad you came through the procedure ok. Like everybody else said, take it slow and make your way back to the garage when you can. Good luck in your recovery!
