how much MM oil per gallon for fuel, I am curious, and was thinking of adding it to my fuel while the car is in winter storage in a heated garage. I do add fuel stabilizer.

Marvel is great,,,it will clean varnish and crap from the inside.
I don’t use it all the time inside though,,,,just about once a year.
Usually put it in the crankcase about 500 miles or so before an oil change.
Because once it breaks the varnish down,,,it needs to be removed with the oil filter.
The oil brand you use matters,,,some of it bakes onto the inside very easily.
Your fuel makes a difference as well,,,,,,some fuels are very dirty,,,a lot of impurities in them,,your driving style makes a difference as well,,,a lot of prolonged idle time.

As far as adding to the gas itself,,, I have used it,,and it will clean the fuel system.
I think I pay about 15 bucks a gallon for Marvel,,,which is cheaper than most fuel cleaners
I think it calls for 4 oz to 10 gallons,,,,which isn’t too bad price wise,,,as long as you don’t way over use it.

It always reminded me of ATF with a solvent added,,,probably Naptha,,that was used a lot back then.

I have found that MMO (and other things, such as engine de-greaser and Brake-Kleen) are less than half the price at Dollar General than the FLAPS.

I am an ardent fan, user of Marvel. Back in time when our motors were prevalent, every gas station offered products derived from petroleum. One of the biggest movers was a half pint can of 'Valve Top' oil. Folks would throw one in the tank when ever the motor started to run 'rough'. The valve needs that little bit of help to keep it from sticking.

While OHV motors have the the valve above the chamber, where all the heat is being made, they get ( most cases ) a good supply of oil. Also, I understand they run stiffer spring pressures.

I like Desoto291Hemi's policy. A pint shortly before draining the crankcase. On a New motor I always add a pint to the oil, then new oil and filter in several hundred miles.

( However one 'overseas' manufacturer claims that every motor in their new 100 thousand mile warranty car is run for a thousand miles, at the plant. )

Unfortunately, not at a "real" dollar store, but it is a lot cheaper at the other kind.

I just checked the price this morning to be sure it had not changed.
Gallon is 15.87,,,,quart is 3.88.
It has been the same price around here for some time.

Thats a good price compared to here at $8.00 a quart but I think all our petroleum products are more here than the east side of the country esp gas.

It is slightly cheaper per ounce when buying it by the quart in the example shown by Desoto291Hemi.

Yeah,,,Lol.
I think it adds up to 35 more for the gallon,,,than 4 quarts separately.
But,,,I’m not gonna tell them,,,it might be higher otherwise.
It has been that same price for some time,,,,must not be as big a demand for it here?

I'm sure MMO is not going to cause a problem in an engine. However, from my experience (over 60,000 miles on my engine) it is not needed. I have never used it in the oil or in the gas. Whatever trips your trigger.

Hi flatjack9, The biggest benefit from Marvel comes out when dealing with a motor that has suffered from use and abuse, or inert static long term storage. Problems with carbon build-up, and stuck rings and valves, can be worked out, in time, with regular use.

I knew a guy who worked for Delta Atrlines, he said they used MMO in all of their gasoline powered ground equipment because it made a big difference in maintenance cost savings.
Another .02 cents worth........ m
