I will be seeing the truck again in the near future. What should I take photos of or what should I look at. The owner doesn't do the internet but he's very knowledgeable, he was a seebee and also an auto mechanics teacher in high school. I know those things don't make him a genius but he's a pretty smart guy. One thing that did give me pause though, he did ask if I could believe these transmissions took 600 weight grease. I didn't even try to explain (what I had learned here) that it's not 600 weight. He's old school and isn't getting on a computer, he's smart enough no question but for some reason refuses it.

JEFF P./Mn- That's kind of you, i appreciate the offer, but thankfully I managed to post two pics (piston and rings) yesterday concerning looking for suppliers. As I said earlier on this thread, I plan on starting a new thread ( finally posting pics )sometime to determine if what we have is a T body on the A chassis , or whatever else... Thanks again !

I believe he was a mechanic but I'm not sure. I know he carries shrapnel from Vietnam.

Makes him one to me also. He told me some pretty bad things, nothing gory, just normal life while there.

Respect to you guys who went and lost much in one way or another.

To all who have served - thanks for your service.

I have a cousin that did a tour in Nam. Was different person when he returned. Was some type of medical aid, not sure if it was in a Mash, or a medic aid on the
front line. Anyway lost a little of his sense of humor, will not talk about it, but still is OK, just different.

So I have always had a lot of respect and thanks for all who have served, but have very deep respect for those that served in or close to the fighting.

Hello All - I got some time and decided to just continue on this thread. But first, since the last few post were about the Veterans, then I'd like to wish the Vets a Belated Happy Veterans day ! As in I hope you all enjoyed your day of honor..
I was just a humble dental tech myself from 1987-91 on Mcguirre afb. So here are some pics

Interior 1 - I apologize that the lighting (for now) only allowed me to take decent interior shots of only the dashboard-steering wheel and I think only one or two pics showing the pedals. Note that this is a Right hand driven car.
