A "car" find
I bought a '31 town sedan last Dec and going through some of the boxes that came with the car (in the back seat) I found some part books from 1964 - 1967, from AMSCO parts, MARK auto and GASLIGHT auto parts. You would not believe the prices on items back then compared to prices today, I know its been almost fifty years...but WOW. And shipping, nothing like it is today.
Back in '66 I was making $1.60 per hour, and thought that was good money for a young man. If only I could go back..go back...go back

Re: A "car" find
I also found Vol. 1 club newsletter for the Fort Worth Model A Club, dated Jan. 1964.
It's their very first newsletter. Excellent condition, along with a flyer to their very first "drive in picinic". Lots of history and good info on their beginnings and their original members. I've sent an e-mail to the club offering them this rare "car find"

Re: A "car" find
Come to Cleveland where homes lose their values. Heck I could sell my car and buy 2 home in the city proper.

Homes at the end of my street now selling in the cool 3/4 million range. One close to great bay is still on the market for 1.2M. This the same neighborhood my wife and I walked through in the early 1990s counting the number of "For Sale" signs, (Max 10 in a 43 house subdivision) with the highest price then being $290K. We thought that so expensive then. HA! I shudda bought two houses! Joe K

Re: A "car" find
My avator is the car.
All I know of the history is it was owned by a Mr. Roger W. Williams of Fort Worth Texas going back to at least 1958, before that is a blank. Mr. Williams worked in the aviation industry, found some aircraft parts in the car also, landing gear motor I believe.

I used to live in Sacramento, moved to Oklahoma, could not touch what we have now for under cool million in Calif. Should have moved here 40 years ago.

Re: A "car" find
Come to Charlotte where Kyle Bush paid 7.5 Mil for his house N/W of Charlotte in a small town called Stanley, NC. The northern area north of Charlotte (Lake Norman) a manmade lake is really expensive.
