1930's Era Cigarette Lighter Value?
I have a new 6 volt 1930's era Cigarette Lighter that you place a whole cigarette in the device, push a button, and it comes out lit.
What is the estimated value of the lighter? Bill Lee/Virginia Peninsula |

Re: 1930's Era Cigarette Lighter Value?
That is something I would have no idea how to price.I have a couple of the ones on a spring loaded reel, you pull the cord out, light your butt, then let it retract in.I would take a stab at it being kind of like mine,a fun thing to own and look at,but virtually valueless.I got mine at swap meets, the sellers were trying to get a few bucks out of them, but not getting anywhere.Things that have a use have some value, but who even smokes anymore, much less in an old car?

You do a search on eBay. To find info on any kind of odd ball item, that's the best place. Don't expect to take that cruise you've been dreaming about! Good luck.

In good shape, I'd think about $20 as a novelty item.
Stick it on ebay, and it's anyone's guess. |

Being an EX smoker, something like that has no value for me.

I have a clamp on ashtray about 2 1/2” around and 3 1/2” high with a chrome flip top. Sounds like we’re set.

Burner, that is the one I have. It takes a full pack of cigarettes, I don't smoke but I filled mine with Lucky Strikes. When you press down on the lever, one cigarette falls out into a "tray". On the bottom left corner there is a small heating element that lights the cigarette and you pick it up and are ready to go. Made by Pres-a-lite, I paid $90 on E-Bay.
