When I built my home shop I should have put in way more wall plugs that I did and you can't have enough air hose drops. best to have one above every drill press grinder ect that you plan to have and dont forget an automatic water drain for the compressor and lines. A nice sterio and maybe a big screen ( a cheap big screen ) sometimes things go flying.

You cannot make do without the toilet and extra space for your sofa to rest when you are feeling a little sluggish already. That really helps when you have to get some things done on the rush.

I wonder how working would be like here as it seems to be pretty great and complete already. My usual garage has nothing compared to this.

You'll need a catch basin around your used oil and used antifreeze storage tanks in case you have a spill - especially in California.

you'll need a lot of work benches - wooden ones so that when you strike something with a hammer the hammer don't bounce back like it will on a steel bench.
What do you plan to do - straight mechanical? some body work? fabrication? sheetmetal forming? painting? each of these disiplines have different requirements. How large a shop is another fair question.
To get some really good advice there is a kind of 'sister' site called the 'garagejournal' -something like that - try to see if you can google it up and check it out.

Probably not legal, but I have a "grease pit" in my garage for working under the car...

You might as well start planning the remodeling and additions to the house. When your wife sees your layout she is sure to want to spen some money. You may want to consider an AC/Heat unit, the older you get the less you like the outdoor conditions comming into your shop while you work.
