Default Body to frame clearance

Hi guys, could anyone provide me with correct body to frame clearance after installing new body blocks and pads on a 29 Tudor? I am measuring between 5/8" and 11/16" from the rear fenders to the A-pillar. Seems the body is sitting too high. Belt line is about 1/4" higher on the body than the doors.

There's a whole sequence you have to go through to make sure your doors, hood, radiator, etc. all line up where they're suppose to be. Other people on here are more versed in that and i'm sure they'll respond.
The short answer is, I think, is to put a shim under the rear of the cowl. That will raise the rear of the doors. Or you take a shim out of the front of the cowl, if you have multiples there.
I think body alignment is more important than the distance between the frame and body. (my opinion)

Here's a discussion of a similar problem you are having. Is your frame straight? Body blocks come with rubber shims about 1/4" thick, as vin tin mentions. After you get the belt line to match, you should have not quite enough room between the splash aprons and body to get your fingers in. 1/4" or so. Getting your doors and hood to all work together is a big job. Take your time and it will happen.

With new blocks and rubber shims, there should be 1/8" to 1/4" of clearance between the running board aprons and the bottom of the body. Over time the gaps will get smaller.

That is not a cut and dry measurement, is your frame perfect, no sag, all original...so many factors come into that...
